Biola Athletics celebrated another banner year of NCAA competition in 2024–25, highlighted by three conference titles, an individual national podium finish and a top-three standing in overall PacWest competition. This year Biola led the conference with the most Academic All-PacWest awards and placed in the top 2% of the entire NCAA Division II for academic success rates.

“This year was filled with historic and record-breaking accomplishments for our student-athletes and coaches,” said Bethany Miller, associate vice president for student development and senior director of athletics. “The Christ-centered, competitive culture of our teams was lived out with excellence, and with a focus on what matters most — our love for God and for one another.”

Biola student-athletes collectively soared to a third-place finish in the Pac- West’s Bob Hogue Commissioner’s Cup, which ranks the conference’s 14 schools based on overall athletic success across all sponsored sports. The bronze marks Biola’s best-ever finish in the cup standings since joining the PacWest, capping off a year that saw Eagles teams consistently competing at the highest level.

Ten of Biola’s 18 sports qualified for NCAA postseason appearances and all but two programs qualified for conference playoffs.

Among the year’s headline moments was Biola softball’s run to the 2025 PacWest regular season championship — the program’s first conference title since joining NCAA Division II in 2019. The Eagles clinched the crown with a dominant 29–7 mark in conference play, finishing the season with a 39–21 overall record. The team’s grit, great pitching and balanced lineup earned them a spot in the NCAA Division II West Regional for the third time in five seasons and led to several new school records.

Biola women’s track and field provided a standout performance at the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships, where Eboselulu Omofoma ended her freshman season with a bronze finish in the women’s 400-meter hurdles. Omofoma set personal and school records in the finals with a time of 58.80 and became Biola’s first female track and field student-athlete to win First Team All-American honors.

Biola women’s golf and women’s cross country joined softball in earning PacWest Championships in 2024–25. It was the third conference title for golf and the third in a row for women’s cross country. The cross country season was punctuated with both the women’s and men’s teams earning berths to the NCAA National Championship. It’s the first year that both teams have qualified for the championship in the same season.
